The CALOHEA Qualifications and Assessment Reference Frameworks have been adopted by The Board of Indonesian Civil Engineering Higher Education Communication (BICEHEC) in The Curriculum Guidelines 2023.
The preparation of this guide involved Institut Teknologi Sepuluh November, Universitas Hasanuddin and Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia which are the Indonesian delegation to the CALOHEA Project. This guidebook has been published as reference for civil engineering education institutions in Indonesia in formulating their curriculum.
On the other hand, Indonesia’s medical education has made remarkable progress through the CALOHEA project. By implementing CALOHEA’s frameworks, we can ensure that Indonesian graduates are well-prepared and meet worldwide qualifications.
Implementing a culture of measuring Student Workload (SWL) is becoming more crucial in this disruption era for lecturers and students. Student learning load refers to the amount of work and academic activities that students are expected to complete in a certain period (for example one semester). This includes all activities related to learning, such as attending class, independent study, completing assignments, projects, and exams, as well as other additional learning such as internships, laboratory work, or fieldwork.
The impact of SWL on students is very obvious. SWL helps them manage their time effectively and plan their studies. As for lecturers, this helps them in designing courses and ensuring that the workload is balanced and manageable for students.
A student learning load measurement system has been developed and implemented in the Student Academic Information System where students are required to fill out a survey about their learning load for one semester.
The collaboration fostered by the CALOHEA project also has strengthened our ties with international institutions and promoted mutual growth. With the continued support from the CALOHEA project, Indonesia is committed to enhance the quality of education, meeting both national and global benchmarks.
